In 1965 the MG-B saw a huge transformation into the fastback era of sport cars, The 'GT' was born and maintained its place in the MG stable until the the company closed its doors in 1980. It was a favorite body style for racing, wide body modifications and the installation of V-6 and V-8 motors. It came standard equipped with the rock solid 1798 cc engine that was also fitted into its counterpart, the MG-B. A very sporty car to say the least. A dedicated following has the GT, and those who own them are a stand alone crowd. There is also the added weatherproofing of a hard top and hatch rear end with plenty of storage. If you don't have one this is your opportunity to buy a memento engraved in a 2"X2"X3" solid crystal block that will look nice in your office or in your home. The MGB-GT...mothers didn't like them.
